Lambrini Girls

  • O2 Institute Birmingham (map)

When Lambrini Girls roared out of the traps at the start of the decade, cultivating a no-nonsense message of rightful anger purpose-built to galvanise the Left and piss off the Right, Phoebe Lunny and Selin Macieira-Boşgelmez announced themselves as the band that some people (internet trolls, transphobes, most -ists) might not have wanted but we all needed.

With 2025 debut album 'Who Let The Dogs Out', the Brighton-formed duo watched their music grow bigger and travel further than they could have imagined: to a UK Top 20 album chart placing, magazine covers from Kerrang! to NME, and sold out tours across the globe. Fighting the good fight with guts, wit and an unmissably carnage-filled live show, it felt like Lambrini Girls had reached a climax - infuriating all the right people, and watching their crowds swell in tandem - at exactly the right time for a world gone mad. And then, the world got even worse.

Enter 'No Refunds': a darker, even more direct and radical record for a moment in history where little else would make sense. Its contents reads like a litany of modern horrors: genocide, fascism, the rise of AI and the descent into the grubby basement of the 'manosphere'. That all of these separately terrifying ideas are happening concurrently, in the small window of time since Lambrini Girls' debut not-two years ago, speaks to how necessary its writing became for the pair. The album arrives as a leap forward for the band - both in the confidence and maturity of their lyrics, and the breadth and execution of the music around it.
