While THISISTMRW have been slowly evaporating with buzz in the weeks leading up to Mark E’s album launch this Saturday, our local DJ supports, post-rock rave-lords FREE SCHOOL , have been buzzing away preparing this rather tasty mix for us. Signed to TIRK records, Free School are label mates with some of Europe’s biggest names in the world of alternative dance music, including ex-Blockhead / cosmic disco pioneer Chaz Jankel and remix / DJ legend Greg Wilson. But what we didn’t realise when we booked them, is that – despite what their label, or indeed the thumping grooves of their recent live sets would suggest – this will actually be their debut DJ set…Which makes this already blissful, genre-hopping journey through rhythm even more impressive.
