Beats In Space: Matthew Dear Mix

The legendary Beats In Space presented by the equally legendary (if not for his music, for his awkward banter) Tim Sweeney, welcomed Matthew Dear to the show for a two part mix last week. The mix features some amazing music from the likes of Soul Clap, Mark E, Tensnake, Moodymann, Anthony Shakir & beyond…

THISISTMRW welcomes DUTCH UNCLES

Dutch Uncles – Face In (Official Video)

Signed to the mighty Memphis Industries (Tokyo Police Club, Cymbals Eat Guitars, Field Music etc.), DUTCH UNCLES have plenty in common with their fellow Mancs ‘Everything Everything’ – Offering up massive shiny pop tunes soaked nicely in raw new wave sensibilities and contemporary instrumentation – but for those of you who might find EE’s skitzoid falsettos and time signatures slightly grating, singer Duncan Wallis’ tender, heartfelt vocals evoke less of the ‘ahh that’s clever’ and more of the ‘ahhijustcame’, a la Mew

We’re very happy to announce that DU are playing for This is Tmrw this Friday at The Victoria in promotion of their soon to be released debut record

If you haven’t grabbed a copy of Feb’s Brumnotes from your local establishment already, follow this link to read their recent interview with the band

Tour support comes from fellow Manc alt-heavyweights YOUNG BRITISH ARTISTS with local support from Brum’s sweaty, grinding electro-punkers DEATH OHH EFF

And remember to check out the Fb event page for full listing details (Tickets available HERE)

See you there!
